The Auckland chair and ottoman was designed by Jean-Marie Massaud for Cassina in 2005. This is the high-back version and the set also include an ottoman. The chair has a swivel function and due to it´s original construction it also has a slight rocking feeling when in use. A very futuristic and space age looking chair with the original upholstery in green fabric. The exposed lower part of the fibreglass seating shell shaped structure was deliberately left exposed to evoke the armour worn by Kendo fighters according to Massaud. The chair is in a very good original condition with minimal ware consistent with age and use. The ottoman measures a width of 68 cm, depth of 45 cm, height of 39 cm.
