Swedish pewter Jewelry box with Porfyr stone handle made by Swedish company Stenlya in 1974. Porfyr is also called "Swedish marble" and is a very expensive and exclusive stone that have been used in Sweden for several hundreds of years to make all kinds of high end items including candle holders, urns, boxes and table tops. The inside of the box has a blue felt surface to make sure all the precious items one put in it has a soft material to rest upon. And the inside of the lid has a mirror so it makes a perfect hand mirror. Very good vintage condition with light ware consistent with age and use.
