Rare monumental, very large, planter or urn by Stig Lindberg for Gustavsberg. This piece is from a special commission in 1971 and the model was never put into serial production and was only made in a very small number. Most likely less than five. It could easily fit a small tree and weighs ca 65 kg. Since it is hand painted, every piece is unique. The planter seems to never have been used and apparece in a very good vintage condition without any cracks, chips or damages. A few marks on the lower part of the inside from the manufacturing.
Hand signed underneath: Stig L, -71, G (for Gustavsberg) plus the Gustavsberg studio hand.
